The CoolControl from Prism utilises existing brush technology and combines it with a sheet of flexible membrane to provide an almost impenetrable air barrier providing the ultimate solution for raised floor cable entry. The solid aluminium design allows the option of different brush lengths as well as bespoke unit sizes to suit custom requirements.

Over the past few years energy consumption has significantly increased in the data centre as more powerful machines are developed and deployed. As 100% of power is converted to heat the more powerful the machines become the more cooling they require. One significant way of reducing power consumption is to reduce bypass airflow (bypass airflow is conditioned air which does not reach and cool the IT hardware). This can be done effectively by sealing cable openings. As much as 1 KW of cooling can be wasted by one unsealed opening. Use the CoolControl to help reduce bypass airflow and all of its associated inefficiencies.
