The rear fan door unit has been designed to supplement existing room air conditioning and reduce hot spots with the cabinet. If the air conditioning is sufficient to provide the correct level of cooling the rear fan doors will extract the heat from the data cabinet at an increased rate.
Each rack fan assembly is supplied in a choice of configuration and can be deployed at different locations within the rear door. This can be fitted at 3 positions within the rear door and can be added to an existing single fan door installation at a later date if required for additional heat dispersion.
The rack cooling fan units used are of a low noise variety (27dB) and are connected via IEC socket technology. These can be upgraded to have any socket type for installation directly in to a UPS of under floor power source.
The rear door fan assembly can be supplied with independent thermostat controls and can then be used when the heat approaches a certain level. It can then be shut off once the heat level is reduced saving valuable power and environment noise levels. The thermostat can be manually amended to suite the client's specific requirements.
